Who she is: The 31-year-old LPGA golfer won her first major, the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open, last July. “I’ve always dreamed of winning it. I still can’t believe it came true.”

How it changed things: Lang shot to No. 8 on the money list and brought her world ranking to 21. “Showing myself I could do it was such a confidence booster.”

Love of the game: She began focusing on golf at age 12. “I had such a passion for it. I knew it was what I wanted to do.”

Family matters: Her brother, Luke, is her caddy; her husband, Kevin Spann, helps with her social media; and her parents often attend her tournaments. “I’m lucky to have such a strong support team.”

What’s next: In August, she hopes to compete on Team USA at the biennial Solheim Cup — for the fifth time. “I’m excited, because I’m playing the best golf of my life right now.”
