3 Star-Powered Broadway Shows Opening This Fall

Opening Sept. 5 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre

Tom Hiddleston, best known for his role in the Avengers movies, makes his Broadway debut in Harold Pinter’s classic play. This production directed by Jamie Lloyd comes straight from an acclaimed run in London. The story, told in reverse order, follows the effect of an extramarital affair on its three principals. THE ROSE TATTOO

Opening Oct. 15 at the American Airlines Theatre

Oscar winner Marisa Tomei brings her trademark sizzle to the stage in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s limited run of this Tennessee Williams revival. Through Dec. 8, Tomei stars as Serafina, a passionate widow finding renewed purpose during a Louisiana summer. Obie Award winner Trip Cullman (Significant Other) directs. roundabouttheatre.org

 
THE SOUND INSIDE

Opening Oct. 17 at Studio 54

Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker stars in a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Adam Rapp, which had its world premiere at the 2018 Williamstown Theatre Festival. The suspenseful drama involves an Ivy League writing professor, a mysterious student, and a troubling favor.
