Who he is: Vice president of strategic initiatives for the athletes and personalities division of Octagon, a global sports and entertainment marketing agency.

What that means: He develops and implements “creative brand-building initiatives pairing sports personalities and brands to drive their mutual business objectives.”

Who he works with: He helped develop longtime client Hank Haney’s Golf Channel show, The Haney Project, in which the legendary golf instructor teaches celebrities how to play golf. Through that show, Aisenberg helped Olympian Michael Phelps land a Ping sponsorship deal.

Starting point: In 2002, Aisenberg created a sports marketing company “for fun” while taking a break from working on his Ph.D. in molecular genetics. The six-month sabbatical turned into a career when he landed David Leadbetter as a client and helped launch Leadbetter’s popular Swing Setter golf training tool.
