Archer Hotel, Napa
With its location on First Street, the 183-room Archer has become the social hub of downtown Napa, particularly its rooftop bar, Sky & Vine. A Charlie Palmer steakhouse and a spa offering everything from mud footbaths to massages also help make this Napa’s buzziest new stay. From $239. 855-437-9100; archerhotel.com/napa
The Francis House, Calistoga
Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, this French Second Empire-style stone home once belonged to a prosperous Napa merchant and rancher. A three-year renovation, slated to be completed on Sept. 7 at press time, has reimagined the property as a five-room inn with a pool, infrared sauna, and salt room. The Ink House, St. Helena
In February, the Castellucci wine family debuted its first inn within one of Napa’s most historic buildings. With just four rooms, the Ink House feels like your own private Napa estate, complete with a bocce court and house Bentley. An on-site dedicated host prepares breakfast and can arrange on-property catered picnics or dinner at Meadowood’s Michelin-rated restaurant. From $950. 707-968-9686; inkhousenapavalley.com
