I’m standing before Marc Chagall’s towering stained glass windows — five in total — in the Fraumünster church in Zurich’s medieval Old Town, a historic core divided in two by the Limmat River. Remarkably, I’m alone at the altar (at least for now), marveling at the light, color and symbolism. Mostly though, I can’t stop thinking about the fact that Chagall embarked on these windows at the ripe age of 80.
Spring has arrived, bringing a fresh wave of activities and happenings at our Clubs. This time of year also brings the excitement and anticipation of our golf-tournament season, which is already in full swing. Not only are these great spectator scenes, they also help raise funds for some of our favorite causes.
Trekking through mountains, hiking dormant volcanoes, zip-lining through the rainforest or swimming in clear-blue oceans in Costa Rica is the ultimate spring vacation. I’ll never forget that beautiful country, where monkeys greeted me at breakfast and jaw-dropping views were seemingly omnipresent. Not to mention that I’ve never felt better than after spending so much time immersed in nature and moving my body.
