Young Golfer to Watch

Noah Goodwin, member at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas

BY KATE WAHNSCHAFFE — Winter 2018

For the second year in a row, the American Junior Golf Association named Noah Goodwin, a member at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas, the Rolex Junior Player of the Year, Boys Division. What’s more, his 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship win last summer landed him a spot in the 2018 U.S. Open. “Noah stands out from other players because of his ability to recover,” says Craig Pullen, Oakmont’s Head Golf Professional. “And by recover, I’m not talking just about hitting a good shot after a bad one. I’m talking about the mental recovery. He is able to put distractions aside and never give up.”
